Logs need to be straight and are used in 2.5m and 3.1m lengths. Logs can be down to 125mm S/ED and up to 325mm B.ED.. Timber must be free of large knots and crowns, knots cannot exceed 50mm in diameter. We are currently processing 20 tonnes of sawlogs per day with a view to increase our through put to twice that amount within the next 6 to 12 months.

We have been logging contractors in both hardwood and softwood since 1974. We have trained many fallers and machine operators in on-site situations, we can advise plantation owners on the best methods of harvesting and also the various grades of logs eg.
