Plantations North East Incorporated, Inc (PNE) is the Regional Private Forestry Development Committee for North East Victoria. Jointly funded by the Australian Federal and Victorian State Governments, it has been in operation since 1998.
Victoria's North East provides all the elements for successful private forestry utilising native and imported species.
Landowners can consider private forestry and farm plantations as an alternative or a diversification of their current activities. These activities are permissible uses in the Farming Zone in Victoria. Landowners wishing to sell/lease lanc should contact PNE for information.
Investors will also consider Victoria's North East as an ideal region for establishing farm forestry investments due to the location of major processing operations in the region and the Murray Valley.
